Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has threatened to terminate his deal to buy Twitter Inc.
In a new letter that was sent to regulators on Monday morning, he accused Twitter of not complying with one of his requests.
The letter states that Musk has repeatedly asked for information regarding spam and fake accounts since May 9th, just about a month after his $44 billion bid to buy the company.
Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal has said that Twitter has consistently estimated that fewer than 5% of its accounts are fake. But Musk has disputed that, contending in a May tweet that 20% or more are artificial.
According to online reports, of the estimated 229 million user accounts, approximately 11.45 of that million are fake accounts.
