Education Stakeholders To Meet Today

A meeting of key stakeholders to discuss the way forward for Jamaica’s education system, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa, is set for today (Tues).

The announcement was made by Minister of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, Senator Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, during a special press briefing on Hurricane Melissa recovery at Jamaica House in Kingston yesterday (Mon).

Minister Morris Dixon pointed out that she has been engaging with stakeholders such as Opposition Spokesperson on Education, Damion Crawford, and the Jamaica Teachers’ Association JTA, since the weekend and will continue this process.

She emphasised the importance of continued partnership to facilitate the smooth reopening of all the nation’s schools.
