Minister with responsibility for Education Karl Samuda is encouraging teachers to continue in the quest to guide students.
Mr Samuda was addressing the staff of the Vauxhall High school in Kingston this week.
The school was plunged into mourning after a teacher was killed on the school compound on January 25.
Mr. Samuda said adults including teachers should do all it can to guide students in the right way.
Noting that the responsibilities of teachers go beyond just teaching from a syllabus, Mr. Samuda stated that teachers are also responsible for developing the minds of students.
