It's been almost a week since the release of dancehall artiste Shaniel Muir’s latest body of work, the EP 'Echoes of Her', and so far, it's doing well on the charts.
Since the release of Muir's EP, it has debuted at #8 on the iTunes Top 100 reggae album charts. Songs from the project have also been added to the streaming platform Audiomack’s ‘Verified Caribbean’ playlist. Comments on the project have been overwhelmingly positive, with many ex-pressing their love for the track, Conflict of Interest.
The 7-track project features Muir in a way we’ve seldom seen her before. With a slower, moodier tone that leans away from her usual harder-hitting dance-hall tone, Echoes of Her leans towards an RnB fusion sound we are hearing more and more from the younger female dancehall artistes. 'Echoes of Her' is produced by prevalent record producer Damage Musiq and features a singular feature in Chronic Law on Disguise, a steamy track that represents a callback to the diva flow that cemented Shaniel Muir on the local scene.
