Shaggy’s recently released ‘Mi Nuh Know’ is causing quite a stir. In fact, dancehall veteran Eek-A-Mouse is claiming that he did not give Shaggy permission to incorporate lyrics from his 1981 hit, ‘Wah Do Dem’.

Speaking about the track with BBC 1Xtra’s Seani B, the “Bombastic” artiste said, “And what about that Eek-A-Mouse hook bro, I was raised on the hook…”. Seani B then asked if he spoke to Eek-A-Mouse, Shaggy responded ” I made sure he was taken care of…”

However, Eek-A-Mouse, who now lives in Sweden says, he was levitra bayer healthcare never contacted. “Shaggy did not get my permission to use my song. I have not heard from him or anyone on his team, please tell them to call me on WhatsApp”, said the 64-year-old in a recent interview.

Eek-A-Mouse’s “Wa-Do-Dem” was released in 1981. For Shaggy’s ‘Mi Nuh Know’, Eek-A-Mouse, whose real name is Ripton Hylton, is credited as one of the song’s writers on Spotify, alongside Grant Woods Valentine, Henry Lawes, Omar Thompson, Orville “Shaggy” Burrell and Shane Hoosong.
