The driver of the mini bus being operated as a taxi, which crashed killing 5 persons yesterday in Westmoreland, has made contact with the police.
It is being reported that he has made arrangements to turn himself over to the police after fleeing the scene of the deadly crash.
The accident occurred along the Bluefields Main Road in Westmoreland at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The five persons were travelling in a Toyota Noah when the vehicle collided into a white truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The deceased are Oneil Allen, Angela Samuel, Janet Thompson, 39-year- old Petrina Wallace and 15-year-old Lavecia Forrester all from Westmoreland.
