Barcelona will celebrate Drake becoming the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams on Spotify by wearing a special shirt against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The La Liga giants are sponsored by Spotify but will replace the streaming service’s logo with the OVO owl logo of the Canadian rapper for El Clasico.
It is part of Barcelona and Spotify’s strategic aim to “bring football and music together”.
Barcelona and Spotify agreed last season to a 12-year-partnership that includes the naming rights of Camp Nou Stadium and putting the name of the audio-streaming service on the jerseys of the men’s and women’s teams. Spanish media reported that the deal was worth 400 million euros ($389 million).
