Canadian rapper, Drake can now celebrate a slight victory over Kendrick Lamar in the 2024 year-end steaming statistics!
The “Marvin’s Room” rapper has become Spotify’s most streamed rapper globally.
The announcement was made yesterday (December 24) as a part of Spotify Wrapped.
Though Drake is the number one streamed rapper that does not mean he is number one.
Drizzy ranked fourth overall behind Taylor Swift, The Weeknd and Bad Bunny.
Other rappers to hit the global top ten list are Travis Scott at 6th place, Kanye West at 8th.
In the United Stated Drake was Spotify’s most streamed rapper and second overall behind Taylor Swift while K. Dot placed 7th.
However, on Apple Music, Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” became the most played song globally for 2024.
Apple Music released their “Top Songs of 2024: Global” on November 3.
Drake has since accused Universal Music Group of inflating "Not Like Us" streams using bots and payola, fueling further controversy.
