Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness, signed a contract worth approximately $38.9 million on Thursday (November 25) for the installation of perimeter fencing at the Lionel Town Hospital in Clarendon.
Civil engineering firm Costley’s Construction will complete the work.
In welcoming the project, Clarendon South-east Member of Parliament Hon. Pearnel Charles Jr. stated that the fencing will ensure the safety of the facility’s patients and staff.
He stated that the Lionel Town Hospital is critical to the parish’s economic development.
