Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. Nigel Clarke has become the third Jamaican to be elected as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Dr. Clarke assumed the role during the IDB and IDB Invest Annual Meeting this morning (March 28).
Governors are the highest policy-formulation authorities of the IDB.
Governor of Paraguay Oscar Llamosas DÃaz and Governor of Canada, Andrew Hurst both expressed confidence in Dr. Clarke’s ability to carry out his new responsibility.
