American rapper Kendrick Lamar has once again proven his chart dominance by replacing himself at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as his track “Luther,” which features singer SZA, dethrones “Not Like Us” from the No. 1 spot.
“Not Like Us” had reclaimed the top position following Kendrick’s record-breaking Super Bowl halftime show performance. Now, “Luther” delivers the Compton superstar his sixth No. 1 single, while also marking SZA’s third time being at the top of the Billboard 100 chart.
K. Dot is currently securing four of the top five positions. “Not Like Us” shifted to No. 2, “TV Off” remains steady at No. 4, and “Squabble Up” is still standing at No. 5.
Meanwhile, the “Not Like Us” superstar’s long-time rival Drake managed to dethrone him on the Billboard 200, as his collaborative album with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, debuted at No. 1 with 246,000 equivalent units sold in its first week.
With his latest No. 1 album, Drake now ties JAY-Z and Taylor Swift as the solo artist with the most Billboard 200 chart-toppers in history. Only The Beatles stand ahead with 19.
