Disney is investing $1b in OpenAI, allowing fans to create images and videos of over 200 characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars in ChatGPT and Sora.
Voices and talent likenesses are not included.
Disney CEO Bob I-ger said the deal will "responsibly extend the reach of their storytelling."
Tools are expected to launch in early 2026, amid ongoing concerns about AI-generated deepfakes of public figures.
