Canadian-Jamaican international model Winnie Harlow has teamed up with American producer Diplo to join on-the-ground hurricane Melissa relief efforts.

In an Instagram post, Harlow revealed that she joined international non-profit charity group CORE and local organizations BREDS in delivering aid to impacted communities along the coast of St Elizabeth. In the post's caption she wrote, "I am my brother's keeper. I cried along with my country, not being able to reach our relatives to see if they were okay. This disaster must bring attention to climate change. It’s my duty as a woman of Jamaican descent to use my voice.

Diplo echoed her sentiments in his own post detailing the efforts, which he took part in on his birthday, instead of engaging in celebration. He wrote, "No cake, no candles, just good people, big hearts, and real purpose."

Diplo's relief efforts with Winnie Harlow, CORE and BREDs is in addition to his monetary donations to American Friends of Jamaica, which he had announced a week ago with the message "If Jamaica has ever given you a song, a memory or even just good energy. I hope you'll join me in Giving back."
