True to the unspoken Jamaican tradition of turning trauma into music generations to come will be able to learn from and enjoy, dancehall star Ding Dong is teasing the first song to come out of post-Melissa Jamaica.
The artiste, in a collaboration post last night with Romeich Entertainment and producer Khalfani, dropped a minute-long taster to the soon-to-be-released track.
Take a listen:
The track, a hopeful trap dancehall song, borrows tune and lyrics from Prince Buster 1960's ska track What a Hard Man Fe Dead, the 'hard man fe dead' in the song being Jamaica after Melissa's devastation.
There is no word yet on the official name of the song or its release date, but with the clip having amassed close to 7500 likes and over 400 comments since it was posted, tells of the anticipation of Ding Dong fans for its release.
