Vaccinated persons will be able to download their digital vaccination cards, as of next Monday December 20.
Health and Wellness Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, says information will be provided to the public on the process to access the cards from the ministry’s website.
He adds that persons can also visit health centers to get help in downloading the cards.
To ensure the equitable access to the digital cards, all fixed vaccination sites will have staff to support the public in printing of cards on request.
Dr. Tufton explains that the card will have a special feature called a quick response or QR Code to enable the information on the card to be validated.
He adds that the digital vaccination cards will align Jamaica to global standards.
Dr. Tufton says where persons find errors in their information, there is a process to correct this.
