Digicel has partnered with the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, as the official telecommunications provider for the ‘I Love Jamaica Telethon’, taking place Sunday, November 23, at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
The telethon, part of the 'I Love Jamaica' Concert Series, seeks to raise 1 million US dollars to rebuild homes, schools, and community infrastructure in parishes affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Top local entertainers and sports legends Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Asafa Powell will engage directly with donors via a live call centre.
Digicel will provide full communications support, including mobile, text, WhatsApp, and fixed-line systems, along with free calls and messages to all donation lines.
The event will be broadcast live on local TV and digital platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok.
