Digicel Jamaica has confirmed that its home internet, mobile, and TV services have been fully restored, after a disruption caused by vandalism to its connectivity partners' fiber network yesterday (Wed).
The telecommunications provider reported that the incident affected its systems, during the country’s general election. It says its teams of engineers and technical specialists worked around the clock to safely and swiftly restore services.
In an Instagram post this morning, Digicel expressed gratitude to its customers for their patience and understanding while repairs were completed.
The company also condemned the acts of vandalism, describing them as reckless and disruptive to families, businesses, and communities that rely on consistent connectivity. Digicel confirmed that it is collaborating closely with law enforcement to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
