Text messages sent by American rapper Diddy to his ex-girlfriend Cassie following a violent hotel assault in 2016 have been revealed.
The messages were made public yesterday (September 18) during the hip-hop mogul’s court hearing in New York.
During the hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney-at-Law Emily Johnson read out the texts sent to Cassie from Diddy. According to Johnson, the text read, “Call me, the cops are here. I got six kids. Yo, please call. I am surrounded. You gonna abandon me all alone.” Cassie responded, saying she had “crazy bruising” and told him that when he gets “[messed] up,” he “knocks her around” and, in her words, “I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.”
The “I’ll be missing you” rapper was denied bail for a second time and remains at the Metropolitan Detention Center while he awaits trial.
