Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers aren't having any of 50 Cent's shenanigans and have sent Netflix a cease-and-desist letter demanding it stop the release of Sean Combs: The Reckoning, the 50 Cent produced docuseries scheduled to debut today.
The letter claims the project uses never-before-seen footage that Combs’ employees filmed and then “illicitly disclosed” to Netflix.
Attorney Michael Tremonte says Netflix first approached Combs about a documentary in 2023, but turned to 50 Cent after Combs refused without creative control.
The letter also accuses the production of offering questionable financial incentives to interviewees.
Combs’ team warns Netflix it could face legal action for copyright infringement or possession of stolen property if the series is released.
