Janice Combs, mother of disgraced hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has spoken out.
Yesterday (October 6), Mrs. Combs released a statement through her attorney, calling it “heartbreaking” to see her son judged “not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies.”
The 83-year-old mother expressed that the pain of watching her son be publicly “lynched” is “unbearable” and emphasized that he deserves his day in court to prove his innocence.
Mrs Combs also addressed her son’s relationship with his former girlfriend, Cassie, and the brutal assault incident captured on CCTV. She stated that sometimes “the truth and a lie become so closely intertwined that it’s terrifying to admit part of the story.”
She said she believes the numerous lawsuits filed against Diddy are driven by people seeking financial gain rather than justice.
In concluding her statement, Mrs. Combs said she believes her “beloved son” is not the monster he’s being portrayed as.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
