Recording artiste Dexta Daps pays homage to Louie Culture in Brooklyn New York.
Dexta posted a video on Instagram earlier this week expressing his gratefulness to the legend who performed with him last weekend overseas.
“GOTTA POST THISSSSSSSSSSSS… I APPRECIATE THIS LEGEND @1gangstalee BEYOND WORD…PASSING HIMMMMM A MIC PROBABLY MEANS MORE TO ME THAN TO HIMMMM HONESTLY… MY FAV PART OF LASTNIGHT….” Dexta wrote.
The entertainer sampled Louie’s song ‘Gangalee’ in 2020 which he titled ‘Call Me If.’ ‘Gangalee’ was released in 1994 on the Corduroy rhythm, and topped reggae charts all over the world. Earlier this year, Dexta remixed the track with R&B sensation Tory Lanes and of course, Louie Culture was also added in the mix.
Culture reciprocated the love shown to him by Dexta by posting on his Instagram and captioned the post “Its an honor a joy and an inspiration to be on stage performing with the future of our music @dextadaps all the way. #realknowreal. dexta dappa daps real artist.”

‘Call Me If’ is arguable one of the biggest Dancehall songs in 2020. The track was featured on Daps’ album ‘Vent’ which was released last year.
