Legendary former West Indies Batsman, Desmond Haynes has been appointed by Cricket West Indies as the lead selector for the senior men’s team.
Haynes, who was recently honoured by the University of the West Indies with an honorary doctorate and is a former senator in the parliament of Barbados, was confirmed the position during a meeting of the Cricket West Indies Board of Directors yesterday.
Haynes will lead the West Indies in men selection panel until June 30, 2024, a period that includes 4 ICC global events, 2 T20 World Cups, Cricket World Cup and the World Test Championships finals.
