Controversial comedian Dave Chappelle was tackled while performing in LA at “Netflix is a Joke: The Festival” last night.
A man by the name of Isaiah Lee, who police said was armed with a replica gun, rushed on the stage and tackled the comedian. He was taken into custody Tuesday night after the altercation. Officials are not sure how the man got the weapon through Hollywood Bowl security.
The motive of the apparent attack remains unclear.
Police said he is booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and held on $30,000 bail. It is not clear whether Chappelle filed an official police report.
