Dancehall artist Squash, who has been in custody since late February, appeared in a Miami-Dade County court on Wednesday.
According to reports, he is scheduled to return to court on April 2, where his legal fate will be further discussed.
The upcoming court date will serve as an arraignment hearing.
During this session, the Montego Bay native will be formally informed of the charges against him and given the opportunity to enter a plea.
Additionally, details regarding a potential bail arrangement are expected to be disclosed.
Squash was arrested on February 24 and later charged with illegal possession of a modified firearm, as well as carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
