CWI Award 30 Academy Contracts

Regional governing body Cricket West Indies, has awarded full-time, one-year contracts to 30 young players, as part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing emerging talent in the region.

For the Men’s Academy, 15 players under the age of 23 will receive dedicated, year-long coaching and training, with access to world-class resources, including a dedicated technical team, as they prepare for the rigours of regional and international cricket.

For the Women’s Academy, 15 players including Jamaica’s Kate Wilmot, will benefit from specialized training with talent pathway coaches and ongoing high-performance initiatives, as well as an international tour.

The contracts run from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
