A court date has been set for the woman accused of stealing a baby in St. James on Friday, January 4.
The 26-year-old resident of Norwood, Montego Bay in St. James, who has been identified as Melissa Harriott, is scheduled to appear in the St. James Parish Court on Wednesday, January 16. She is charged with child stealing.
Harriot was arrested on Sunday, January 6 when she was found with the stolen child. The baby girl was allegedly stolen when her mother left her in Harriott’s care and went to use the restroom.
