Sleuths attached to the St. Catherine North Policing Division have arrested and charged 47-year-old Gladston Russell a construction worker of McGrath road, Ewarton, St.
Catherine with Assault at Common Law following an incident in his community on Saturday.
Reports from the lawmen are that at about 9:18a.m., Russell allegedly got into an altercation with
a neighbour, during which he pointed a machete at the man and threatened to chop him.
The neighbour left the scene and made a report to the police; the lawmen visited the location where
Russell was seen and pointed out by the complainant.
He was subsequently arrested and charged for the offence, a court date for him is being finalized.
