A study that will aim to quantify the use of molly, ecstasy and other recreational drugs in the country is to get underway shortly.

That’s according to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Jacquiline Bisasor-McKenzie.

Addressing the recent 170th session of the Pan-American Health Organization Executive Committee Meeting, the CMO noted that the completion of a drug master plan is being worked on.

She said to support the plan, a study will be implemented by the last quarter of 2022.

The study will focus on the prevalence of the use of alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and other emerging drugs in society.
