As it celebrates a 6.5% increase in agricultural production in the third quarter of this year, the agriculture and fisheries ministry is urging Jamaicans to continue supporting the nation’s farmers.
In his Christmas address to stakeholders, portfolio minister Audley Shaw congratulated farmers and fisherfolk on a successful year despite the challenges facing the sector, in particular the covid pandemic.
Mr. Shaw also urged Jamaicans to choose local products where possible this Christmas.
