Dancehall artiste Chronic Law is back in the open, but quietly, and with just two words to mark the moment: “God Bless.”
After more than two months in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody, the “Revenge” deejay resurfaced on Instagram, offering no explanation but instantly setting off a wave of reactions from fans and industry peers. Sources close to the situation have since confirmed his release.
Chronic Law whose real name is Ackeme Campbell, had been detained at a Florida facility since January 12, with details around his case remaining largely under wraps during that time. His detention followed a prior arrest in Turner County in late 2025 on traffic-related charges, according to public records.
While he kept a low profile in custody, his name didn’t. Support rolled in from across the dancehall fraternity, including Popcaan, Vybz Kartel, and Kranium.
And notably, his momentum never really stalled. Even amid the uncertainty, Chronic Law maintained his grip on the digital space, having racked up over 150 million YouTube views in 2025 alone.
