The world-renowned Batsman turned recording artiste’s latest collab is currently running at number 1 in India.
Chris Gayle recently released his hit single ‘Jamaica To India’ featuring Indian Rap artiste Emiway Bantai, which immediately began blazing in the top spot on the charts in India.
Gayle boasted on Twitter about how much he enjoyed making the song with Bantai, “From Jamaica to India you know it’s @chrisgayle333 & @emiway_bantai. Bro, it was a pleasure meeting and working with you… you’re such a humble soul super talented and a true professional! I had a blast shooting our song together, can’t wait for it to drop!! Big Respect #StayTunedPeeps.”
‘Jamaica To India’ already hit 17 Million views since its release last week and the Universe boss is pleased at how seamless the collaboration happened. He said, “The collaboration with Emiway came about by me just messaging him and suggesting that we do a track together and straight away he said let’s do it! We recorded our parts separately and met up in Dubai to shoot the video and the synergy was awesome.” He further explained “When dancehall is getting a raw deal worldwide, here I am hitting multiple charts in India with one of the most popular Indian artistes. It’s a good look for Jamaican music and I’m glad to be able to be a part of that.”
Gayle recently launched his record label ‘Triple Century Records’ back in February of this year.
