Chris Brown appeared in a London courtroom Friday (June 20) and pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm stemming from an alleged bottle attack at a nightclub in February 2023.
The 36-year-old singer and performer arrived at Southwark Crown Court just hours after performing in Cardiff, dressed in a blue suit and oversized sunglasses.
Prosecutors allege Brown assaulted music producer Abraham Diaw at Tape nightclub in London, where Diaw was reportedly struck with a bottle and then “punched and kicked” multiple times.
In addition to the attempted grievous bodily harm charge, Brown faces two other counts: assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
The court postponed arraignment on those charges until July 11, giving Brown more time before entering a plea.
