Chris Brown just copped his sixth No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart as “Residuals” climbed to the top on April 5. The song saw a 12% increase in plays, making it the week’s biggest gainer, according to Luminate.
Here’s a look at Brown’s chart-topping streak:
“No Guidance” (feat. Drake) – 11 weeks (2020)
“Go Crazy” (with Young Thug) – 7 weeks (2020)
“Come Through” (H.E.R. feat. Chris Brown) – 1 week (2022)
“See Through Love” (Tank feat. Chris Brown) – 1 week (2023)
“Sensational” (feat. Davido & Lojay) – 8 weeks (2024)
“Residuals” – 1 week (so far) (2025)
With all six of his No. 1s coming in the 2020s, Brown now ties H.E.R. and Usher for the most Adult R&B Airplay No. 1s this decade.
The news comes as ticket sales for Breezy Bowl XX soar, proving once again that Brown’s influence isn’t slowing down.
