Rapper Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester on Thursday over an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub two years ago.
Detectives from London’s Metropolitan Police arrested the musician early this morning at the five-star The Lowry Hotel after he flew into Manchester Airport on a private jet on Wednesday afternoon.
Brown was held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw, after an incident at trendy Tape nightclub in London, in February 2023.
Met Police flew to Manchester upon learning Brown had entered the UK and he was taken into custody.
The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.
Mr Diaw alleges R&B star Brown launched an unprovoked attack on him while the star and his entourage were at a Dirty Martini club night held at trendy Tape nightclub.
He claims Brown smashed him over the head with a bottle and then punched and kicked him as he lay on the floor.
