Two vaccination buses were handed over to the ministry of health from the Chinese government, on Thursday.

The buses were donated by the people and city of Yantai and are slated to benefit Jamaica’s national vaccination implementation programme.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Health Minister Dr. Christpoher Tufton said that the buses will aid in meeting the government’s 65% inoculation target by march next year.

He said the buses will allow the government to bring the vaccine to more people.

According to Dr. Tufton, approximately 2,400 individuals have been vaccinated via the mobile units so far.
