The controversy surrounding Chappell Roan is continuing to unfold after an alleged encounter involving footballer Jorginho’s stepdaughter left the child reportedly distressed.
According to reports, the situation involved a security guard who approached the child while she was near Roan. However, the singer’s team says Roan neither saw nor interacted with anyone involved.
Roan has since addressed the situation directly, explaining in a video that she was simply having breakfast at her hotel at the time and had no awareness of any interaction taking place.
She also made it clear that the security involved was not her personal team and that she never asked anyone to approach the mother and child.
In a statement, her team reiterated that she had no involvement and was unaware anything had even happened in the moment.
On the other side, the child’s mother says the situation was handled too aggressively, explaining that her daughter was just an excited fan. Jorginho later shared that the child was left shaken and in tears following the encounter.
The situation has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some defending Roan’s lack of involvement, while others are questioning how the moment was handled overall.
