The Associate of Arts degree in Music that will educate teachers on how to use music as a tool in academic curriculum delivery, is awaiting accreditation from the University of the West Indies (UWI).

Lecturers on the Academic Board for Music, which is part of the Joint Board of Teacher Education, are drafting the program’s coursework (JBTE).

Chairman of the Academic Board, Everton Clarke says this move will provide holistic development and academic excellence

Mr. Clarke stated that the Board expected approval in September 2022, but that it could be delayed due to the UWI’s quality control and vetting processes.
