Last Friday night, Rita Marley sat in the audience as her daughter Cedella Marley accepted the American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) 2022 International Humanitarian Award in a ballroom at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, New York.
She was dubbed the Renaissance woman and honored for her notable contributions to service.
When she accepted the microphone, she thanked her husband, her kids, her team, and her mother, who she regarded as her personal hero.
