Cavalier Clinch JPL Play-Off Spot as Harbour View Suffer Historic Relegation

Cavalier secured a place in the Jamaica Premier League play-offs with a 2-1 win over Harbour View at Stadium East, sending the east Kingston club into relegation for the first time in more than 30 years.

Assistant coach David Laylor praised his young players for fighting back after trailing at halftime to secure the crucial victory.

Cavalier finished fifth on 61 points, while Racing United claimed the final play-off spot with a 4-0 win over Spanish Town Police.

Despite taking the lead, Harbour View’s defeat, combined with Molynes United beating Treasure Beach 2-0, confirmed Harbour View’s relegation alongside Spanish Town Police.
