Latino musicians and performers are rallying behind their Venezuelan brothers and sisters after the island experienced devastating 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes yesterday evening.
American-Dominican rapper Cardi B shared a message of support on her Instagram, writing in spanish, “Dios ponga sus mano sobre Venezuela,” meaning in English, “God place your hands over Venezuela," along with the Venezuela flag emoji. She was joined in her support by Columbian reggaeton star J Balvin who wrote: "Venezuela. My heart is with all the people affected by this painful tragedy...May those who are still missing be found alive, may the injured recover soon and may the country find strength and hope in the days ahead."
Other stars sharing messages included Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Rauw Alejandro, Columbian rapper Maluma and Puerto Rican artiste and actor Ricky Martin.
