The show must go on... right?
BZR Weekend is back selling tickets, but questions surrounding Cardi B’s withdrawal are still hanging in the air.
Organizers have resumed ticket sales on the festival’s website following last week’s uproar over the rapper’s withdrawal, just 10 days before she was scheduled to headline the Heroes Weekend event at Kingston’s National Stadium on October 18.
The cancellation sparked widespread online reactions, with several patrons demanding refunds. Ticket sales were subsequently suspended, but the festival’s website is now advertising packages ranging from US$79.99 to US$649.99.
However, while the tickets are back, clear answers about refunds are still missing. Organizers have yet to directly address Cardi B’s withdrawal or provide clear assurances for affected patrons.
BZR Weekend is scheduled to run from October 16 to 19, with Keyshia Cole, Malie Don, Ding Dong, and Shaneil Muir among the announced performers. Spice is set to host.
With the countdown to festival weekend underway, ticket sales have resumed, but questions surrounding the headline act’s exit remain unanswered.
