Well, that was not the plot twist Jamaican music fans had on their October bingo cards!
BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 has postponed its October 18 staging at Kingston’s National Stadium to December 20 following Cardi B’s withdrawal from the festival.
Organisers expressed condolences to the Grammy-winning rapper and her family following the passing of a loved one, explaining that circumstances beyond their control prompted the change. They also maintained that they had fulfilled their financial obligations and contractual commitments.
But before fans pack away their party outfits, the team insists the show will go on! Promising an even bigger, star-studded experience, organisers stressed that their vision for BZR WKND has always been bigger than one artist.
They also acknowledged the disappointment of patrons who have already purchased tickets and arranged travel and accommodation, apologising for the inconvenience.
Previously purchased tickets will remain valid for December 20. Those unable to attend or seeking refunds can email eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com with their full name, purchase confirmation, transaction reference and booking email address.
A press conference is expected later this week to address outstanding questions and share further details.
