A new video has been circulating online of rapper Busta Rhymes speaking out against Covid19 lock-downs and the wearing of masks.
A snippet from the rapers June 19 show began trending on Twitter earlier today after a user shared the clip. In the video, you can hear Busta saying, “This is my second show in front of human life in the last 15 months, COVID could [expletive]…”.
He went on to say, “All these little weird government policies and mandates…Stop trying to take our civil liberties away… No human being is supposed to tell you that you can’t even breathe freely! [expletive] your mask.” The ‘Break Ya Neck’ artiste apologized for getting “a little political,” saying, “but I miss my people.”
While some persons seem to agree with what he had to say, others, well… not so much. One commentator wrote, “It be persons that haven’t been personally affected by COVID that say stupid things like this and this is exactly why the numbers are steadily rising. STUPIDITY! Let’s not forget about DELTA VARIANT”.
Busta has yet to respond to the backlash.
