Zion Care International in partnership with the Sanmerna Foundation will be looking to establish a burn unit by next June, in honour of burn victim Kerry-Ann Collins.
Ms. Collins succumbed to third-degree burns she sustained after a gas cylinder exploded in her kitchen, at her home in Kingston last year, while she was cooking.
The burn unit which will be based in Kingston will be named in honour of the 25-year-old.
Chairman of Zion Care International, Reverend Dr. Craig Brown made the announcement, citing that the unit is slated to be fully operational in the next 12 months.
