A few weeks after receiving backlash on social media for being against the wearing of face masks during this pandemic, reggae icon Buju Banton and his foundation with the help of international artiste Kanye West have donated to two children’s home.

A few days ago the news was shared via Buju’s foundation instagram page. Each boy at the Sunbeam children’s home was gifted with a laptop, the Mount Olivet Boys home also received desktop computers and chairs.

Administrator of the Mount Olivet Boy’s home, Patrick Newman received the donation on behalf of the boys home said, “thanks Kanye West for contributing to our mission to improve the lives of at risk boys”.

This would not be the first time Buju has donated to the Mount Olivet boys home, back in September of last year, Buju’s foundation also donated school stationary, and in August, the foundation gave its first Murdine Clarke scholarship, established by Buju in honour of his mother.
