Buju Banton returns.
The Grammy-winning Jamaican singer released his newest record titled “Country for Sale.”
The song was produced by Banton’s frequent collaborator Donovan Germain, and addresses the ways in which his native country has been negatively impacted by greed.
“Country for Sale” has cracked inside the top 10 of the ITunes Reggae Songs chart, upon release.
Meanwhile, Buju has been on his Long Walk Walk to freedom tour of the Caribbean.
The British Virgin Islands is projected to generate a half-million dollars in revenue for the show set for next month.
Deputy Director of the BVI Tourist Board, Rhodni Skelton, gave that projection at a media conference held on Wednesday, stating that the event will present a great opportunity for the territory.
More than 8,000 guests are expected in the BVI for the concert.
