Global K-pop superstars BTS have officially announced their long-awaited return, marking the end of a hiatus that began in 2022.
The seven-member group had stepped back from group activities to fulfil South Korea’s mandatory military service, which has now been completed by all members. The comeback was confirmed on New Year’s Day by their agency Big Hit Music, alongside handwritten letters from each member thanking their devoted fanbase, the ARMY, for standing by them.
During the group’s time away, members RM, Jin, Suga and J-Hope all explored solo releases, keeping BTS’ presence alive even while the group was on pause.
BTS is set to return with a brand-new album in March, with the group revealing that recording has wrapped after sessions that began in July 2025.
