The music industry is mourning the loss of British singer-songwriter Talay Riley, who died on June 5 after a stabbing in east London. He was 35.
Born Mark Orabiyi, Riley was known for his 2010 single “Make You Mine” but earned greater recognition as a songwriter behind major hits.
His credits included songs for Dua Lipa, Khalid, Britney Spears, The Chainsmokers, and 5 Seconds of Summer, as well as work with Chris Brown, Kehlani, H.E.R., and Jason Derulo.
Police are investigating the fatal attack and have appealed for witnesses and CCTV footage from the area.
