Bounty Killer has become the second veteran Jamaican entertainer to publicly lend support to the Accompong Town Maroon Chief Richard Currie.
Killer has come to the defence of the Cockpit Country and Chief Currie’s bid to take the Government to the Supreme Court over the proposed bauxite mining within the protected area.
The Cockpit Country is Jamaica’s largest watershed area, which supplies 40 percent of the island’s water.
Bounty Killer used his massive following on Instagram to share news of the development and encourage persons to join in the effort.
The Supreme Court is to hold the first hearing of the case which was filed last month against the Government and the Jamaica National Heritage Trust, on Tuesday July 12.
