Bolt recovering from Achilles surgery

Olympian Usain Bolt shared an update on his Instagram this morning (June 17), stating that his surgery was successful. This after rupturing his achilles tendon in his right foot.

In a picture uploaded on Instagram, the fastest man alive can be seen seated on a hospital bed with crutches and a cast on his foot.

The 37-year-old athlete was forced to undergo surgery after he was rushed off the field of the Stamford Bridge during Soccer Aid earlier this month.

The severity of this injury usually leaves athletes out for months.

Several celebrities showed their love in the comment section, wishing Bolt a speedy recovery. The likes of Alaine, Chris Gayle, D Major, Christopher Martin, and Pamputtae sent their well wishes.

Soccer Aid is a charity football match, typically packed with celebrities, to raise funds for Unicef. It was his sixth appearance in the fixture. However, we are wishing Bolt a speedy recovery!
